Lamentations 1:2-4

² She ^(A)weeps bitterly in the night
And her tears are on her cheeks;
She has none to comfort her
Among all her ^(B)lovers.
All her friends have ^(C)dealt treacherously with her;
They have become her enemies.
^3 (D)Judah has gone into exile ^[a]under affliction
And ^[b]under ^[c]harsh servitude;
She dwells ^(E)among the nations,
But she has found no rest;
All ^(F)her pursuers have overtaken her
In the midst of ^[d]distress.
⁴ The roads ^[e]of Zion are in mourning
Because ^(G)no one comes to the appointed feasts.
All her gates are ^(H)desolate;
Her priests are groaning,
Her ^(I)virgins are afflicted,
And she herself ^[f]is ^(J)bitter.
